Here you can take a look at a selection of projects illustrating the range of work carried out by Group Tegula Limited.

Everley House - North Tees Hospital

Location: North Tees
Product: Euroroof Mono High Performance Roofing System

The original roof of the Everley Building was constructed using Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC). However, unlike traditional reinforced concrete, it is aerated like an aero chocolate bar which allows water ingress. As a result of this, the material had weakened and risked structural failure.

With the roofing passed its lifespan and no longer fit for purpose, Group Tegula were contracted to strip the existing roofing and provide a new long term solution.

We chose to install a Euroroof Mono High Performance Roofing System. A system comprising a premium single-layer adhered reinforced SBS polymer modified bituminous waterproofing membrane, insulation boards, and air and vapour control layers (AVCL).

The benefits of this system include;

  • High performance bituminous membranes
  • High tensile strength and pliability
  • Excellent resistance to puncture and UV degradation
  • A quick and safe, flame-free method of installation

This system has a typical life expectancy in excess of 20 years, and has been tested rigorously against wind uplift in accordance with BS 6399-2:1997.

The predicted time scale for this project was 2 weeks. Adverse weather conditions and a slight logistical issue with roof lights caused significant delays, but despite this, we were able to complete this project ahead of schedule, to an excellent standard, and without compromising quality.
