Rio Tinto approached Group Tegula to resolve a long standing water ingress problem they had with the roofing over their North and South Potrooms,
The cladding’s unusual design meant that every facade had to be individually examined and our in-depth survey highlighted complications with the current drainage system and noticeable roof sheet and fixing issues.
So Group Tegula re-roofed the entire production area with embossed aluminium profiled sheeting, with a micro matt sacrificial finish profile, resolving the long standing water ingress problem, all whilst aluminium production continued inside.
The 26 week project, totalling approximately 11,000m² of roofing, was completed by Group Tegula to a high standard and within all timeframes.
